Glasgow Kiltwalk - 26th April 2020
As a result of the Covid -19 pandemic, our group of WSDCS staff, trustees, members, family & friends are, like everyone else, unable to complete this year's Glasgow Kiltwalk on the 26th April. We all signed up to raise much needed funds for the charity and would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who supported and sponsored us. We very much appreciate it.
As you may know, the Hunter Foundation planned to increase all donations received by 31st March by 50% in recognition of the difficulties charities are experiencing at this time. The amazing news was that on 1st April, Sir Tom Hunter increased that 'top-up' by 100% doubling the money raised!! We are delighted to announce that we have now received the incredible sum of £4280.00 and on behalf of everyone at WSDCS would like to thank the amazing Sir Tom Hunter and the Hunter Foundation, our sponsors and the amazing 'Team WSDCS' for signing up for the challenge, raising such a incredible sum of money in a very short time span, and for your commitment and support of the charity! We thank you all - You are all stars!!
The money will be used to enable us to continue to provide social and emotional support to deaf children, young people and their families throughout the West of Scotland. Here's to the next one!!< Go Back to News
